Injen cold air intake with splash shield or AEM cold air intake with bypass valve?
AEM cold air intake or Injen on my 01 celica gts?. I have heard the injen gives a bit more hp than the aem but the injen does not have a bypass valve to protect water from getting to the engine.. only a splash guard. Are they both the same thing? Also how much time does it take to install? or should i just pay to get it installed? Any advice would be helpful thanks
I’d personally get the one with the bypass valve so there is no chance of hydro locking the engine if you ran into some water. Takes about an hour to install. Either way, you wont notice much difference between that and stock, that’s why most auto technicians dont even bother wasting money on cold air intakes for their own vehicles.
